Today, I’m driving down to New Jersey to celebrate the wedding of my best friend from college. How do I have friends that are getting married when I still can’t believe I graduated college? To focus on the lovey dovey, this week for The Friday 56 (a meme created by Freda’s Voice), I chose a love story. Here’s to hoping that something romantic is said on page 56. But since it’s also Halloween, I’m going to do a second book about something spooky.
- Grab a book, any book.
- Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader.
- Find any sentence (or a few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
- Post it.
- Add your (url) post here in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.
This week’s books are Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (yes, I can choose her two weeks in a row) and Bloodline by Kate Cary, since it had the perfectly creepy line on the right page.
Because even after everything that had happened in the last forty-five minutes – and everything that had happened in the last twenty-four hours- all Eleanor could think about was seeing Park.
Standing in the middle of this terrible slaughter was a hellish, hound-like beast with eyes that blazed red in the pre-dawn light. It locked its gaze upon me.
Happy Friday!! Enjoy your weekend, everyone. I’ll be dancing the weekend away with my college friends and forgetting that I’m supposed to be a grown up.
