Top Ten Tuesday

This is my first time joining in on The Broke and the Bookish‘s Top Ten Tuesday! I’m excited!!

This week’s topic is Top Ten Characters You’d Like To Check-In With. I had to think about this one for a few minutes. Or hours. Goodness. I read so many books that I sometimes completely forget about characters until I’m talking about them.

1. Cath (Fangirl)
Cath, Cath, Cath, Cath. We just GOT each other. Seriously.  I just hope I can be as good of a writer as she is one day.  Oh boy, dreaming of being as good as a fictional character… what am I doing with my life? But I digress… I want to see her finish college! I want to know more about her relationship! I want to read more of her writing (which I guess will kinda happen in Carry On but it won’t really mention Cath…)

2. Colie (Keeping the Moon)
I love Sarah Dessen. Seriously. There’s few characters she writes that I don’t want to be friends with but for some reason I’m just drawn to Colie and her story.  I want to read more about her!

3. Suze (The Mediator Series)
Suze and Jesse. Le swoon. This was one of my FAVORITE series when I was in high school. I need Meg Cabot to come out with another one!

4. Gemma Doyle (A Great and Terrible Beauty)
This was another one of my favorite series in high school.  I read this book quite a few times.  I would love to read more about Gemma. A trilogy just wasn’t enough.

5. Bianca (The DUFF)
I understood Bianca. I admired her. I want to be her friend. I will GLADLY be her DUFF. Can I just call her up and see how she’s doing please

6. Lizzie Bennet (Pride and Prejudice)
How in the world are Lizzie and Mr. Darcy? Do they have kids? Do they throw balls? Do they have romantic/tension filled dances around their ballroom when the servants are asleep?  Are they still prideful? What’s going on with them? I WOULD LIKE VERY MUCH TO KNOW.  Jane Austen, why was there never a sequel?

7. Steve (Rats Saw God)
Just any character that Rob Thomas writes, please. I love them all. Want more information on ALL OF THEM. Yes, more Veronica, too (but I know there’s more coming).

8. Bernadette (Where’d You Go, Bernadette)
Please. She’s just too funny. I want to know what trouble she’s getting herself into now!

9. Lena (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants)
It was always Lena that I was drawn to and while I know we got Sisterhood Everlasting, I wasn’t satisfied. I want more of the Lena from her high school days.

10. Carrie McClelland (The Winter Sea)
I’m really interested in writer’s lives. Even though she’s a fictional writer, I liked that she had dreams of the past. Can I have dreams of my ancestors? That would make writing so much easier.  I want to see how she writes now that her dreams would have been done. Maybe there should be another book after The Firebird that links Anna and Carrie together again. Wishful thinking.
